Role Overview

The Content Marketing Specialist at Upscale is responsible for delivering impactful, compelling content that creates and drives pipeline and increases brand awareness. We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced content marketer who enjoys being an executive producer that lands amazing stories. The right person will have an eye for top-quality B2B marketing content and a data-driven mindset to help connect content strategy to business results.

We believe that B2B Sales is fundamentally about people interacting with each other and sales engagement software is there to help you become the best at that. We are building the next level of intelligent platform to make sales reps insanely productive at what they do best, sell.

Overall Responsibilities:

Owning the strategy, creation, and distribution of compelling content of various formats across a wide array of channels to drive the overall marketing objectives - from acquisition to retention. The formats range across the blog, social media, website and landing pages, newsletter and customer emails, case studies, user success stories, eBooks, white papers, product feature articles, in-product content, video content, sales collaterals.

Scaling up the inbound marketing efforts by building and executing a solid content strategy - the objective here would be to attract quality traffic and convert them into signups/leads. This would mean owning the SEO and content distribution/repurposing goals.

Create and implement a content strategy based on a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends and competitive forces - this includes the development of themes/topics, content creation & curation to help drive thought-leadership and customer acquisition.

Deep understanding of how to “hook” a reader especially at the beginning of a piece of content.

Write new content in the style that is most suitable for the audience; copy edit for voice, tone, and accuracy.

Create downloadables, one sheets, and other marketing collateral that drives the conversation.

Collaborate with Design to turn your writing into fully-designed pieces that are both engaging and optimized for conversion.

Executing the GTM of new product features and working with the product team to build and distribute content that will drive education and adoption of features.

Review content analytics to understand business impact and inform future content creation decisions.


Responsible for growing the Organic Web traffic and driving Signups.

Skills and Experience:

Exceptional storyteller, editor and content producer with 5+ years of content marketing experience at a B2B SaaS company/B2B freelancing.

Expertise in flawless and crisp written communication. Everyone loves reading a piece that is short and to the point. :)

Experience writing for SEO to help drive and improve SERP rankings.

Proven track record of measuring content effectiveness throughout the funnel.

Flair for content writing to target North American/Global audience.

Ability to write engaging web content and adapt it to different formats and channels.

Ability to combine qualitative goals of content and quantitative goals (traffic/conversions).

Passionate and enthusiastic about evangelizing the product, the company and the customers.

Comfortable to thrive in a fast-paced environment, self-driven, and willingness to own from conceptualization to execution.
